INTEC began with a pilot cohort in September 1996. Over the three-year life of the project, approximately one thousand teachers from across the country and abroad will receive 125 contact hours of professional development. See Requirements/Commitments for further information regarding contact hours.

The goal of the course is to bring inquiry-based teaching and learning strategies to middle and high school teachers of mathematics and science. Student equity and assessment issues are woven throughout.
