Participants wishing to experience the enhanced features of the INTEC web site may want to download new tools which evolve as a result of new web technologies. Some of these rich interactive mediums include: VRML, Java, and RealAudio. This section hopes to provide pointers for the technologies the INTEC site encompasses by listing resources to their individual home pages.

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Program Shareware Sites

Recommendations: Cute-FTP or WS-FTP (PC); Fetch (MAC). Search the above shareware sites OR use your browser if you have Netscape 3.0 GOLD which has built in FTP capabilities. Many web editors also have built-in ftp commands.

Multispec [MAC & PC]
Multispec is freeware available from Purdue University. It permits the viewing of images, specifically LANDSAT and other images, used for scientiic visualization. Multispec is cross platform.

A utility that permits segments of the screen to be captured and saved to disk. Use option #5 in the setup. "decide on the fly".

Screen Thief [PC]

It can output to gif files, so there is no need for a converter and it is shareware.
